Project Description

In 2014 Observatory Systems was contacted by a private individual to design and install an observatory at a residence in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The observatory was comprised of a 16 foot Astrohaven dome, a 20" Planewave Instruments Corrected Dall-Kirkham (CDK) on a Software Bisque Paramount MEII, a 12.5" Planewave Instruments CDK on a Software Bisque Paramount MX+, and a Takahashi FS150 refractor on a Software Bisque Paramount MX+. Observatory Systems advised the client's contractor on the design of the technical concrete slab, isolated piers, power and data conduit paths for the client's contractor to construct the infrastructure. Over two visits to the site Observatory Systems installed, aligned, and automated all three imaging systems.
